A reference begins the palette
Brand artwork or a colour reference helps the designer prepare the combination. Body, lining, zip and webbing are shown together. The image supports the design discussion; the physical materials belong to the chosen sample and specification.
Different surfaces form the collection
A nylon travel bag and canvas tote have different surfaces even when they share a colour name. We consider how the materials look together and record the references for each. The collection can share an identity while its individual choices remain clear.
Decide which detail stays shared
You can keep the body colour and vary the trim, or repeat a label across several main colours. The free design image shows those directions together, giving your team a palette to discuss before the sample versions are prepared.
Keep the agreed palette with the order
Your representative gathers colour and artwork references for each model. The record and approved sample are the starting point for production and repeat orders. Any numerical colour tolerance is included only when agreed for that programme.
